Resume/Essays of Accepted Applicants

If you were/are accepted into Stanford, could you please post your resume and essay for reference purposes? Thank you so much!

If you want to see stats, look at past Decision threads; if you want to see essays, there’s always those books at Barnes and Noble, but I’m afraid no one will post their essays for the whole world to see.

I second what Rolandic7 said. This doesn’t connote that we think you personally will take these essays, tweak them, and then use them. It just means that someone who happens upon CC will realize that admitted students’ essays are GOOD, and could potentially be used.

The stats are readily available though.

“Reference purposes?” LOL

I think that just doing what you love will get you in. Copying others will have the opposite effect.

I really wasn’t planning on copying anyone else’s essays? No offense, but I think I am capable of writing an essay that highlights my flaws/strengths much better/suitable for me than copying someone else’s work… I just wanted to see what constituted great essays and brainstorm from there. I have seen essays on the internet, but they are rather scanty and hard to find.

I’ve seen this exact same thread elsewhere…on other college forums…

Oh, also graduating aged 12.

^Did you get in? I’m curious to know. I hear they get a lot of applicants from Romulus and Remus.

Nope, rejected. :)

Of course you got rejected! That’s what happens when you’re not a USAMO qualifier.

But, to answer the OP’s question: go on facebook and search the Stanford groups. They all posted their essays in one of the discussions. Its linked to a CC post somewhere too if you just google it.
http://■■■■■■■.com/yjx34tz</a>
it’s the third link. do the same thing for the other essays and you’ll be golden

Just so you know, Stanford rejects USAMO qualifiers…

Haha they probably do. But they also won’t accept you unless you are a USAMO qualifier. I was just pointing out the reason for your rejection.

You can have the USAMO and probably get rejected.
But you will never be accepted unless you’re a USAMO qualifier. Just sayin’

I didn’t even know what USAMO was until yesterday

I didn’t know what it was until CC.

I was joking with my last couple posts, if you didn’t get that =D

Hahaha, there’s also a physics, bio, and chemistry olympiad. I wonder what it’d be like to do all of them. One each year since you can only go to the national level in one.

That’d be amazing.

I’d never head of USAMO or any of those things before CC…
