this seems like a stupid question to be asking now but i was wondering about the honors section on the common app. First of all I have more awards then there are spaces available(most of them are math or science competitions). Should i start writing my honors and then finish it in additional information or should I just put a resume with all my stuff. I wouldn't mind just making them read my resume because I give a more detailed but concise description. Stanford says W"e strongly discourage the submission of any additional supplementary credentials" but i dont know if that means a resume or not

When I called, multiple times out of disbelief, the admissions office said that if you attach any files to the additional information section, they will not be looked at.

They also said they do not consider any extra credentials listed in that section, that it is only for information on extenuating circumstances and for one sentence clarifications of really obscure activities or awards already listed on your app.

^ wait wait wait, so you can't attach a document, but you can put in a couple sentences in that box for really obscure activities?

^ Can anybody confirm this?? This seems really bizarre.

Yes, it's true. I just called the admissions office today and they said that you should fit everything in the 7 extracurricular spots on the common application.
