On my resume, should I include things I plan to do next year when giving them to my teachers when asking for a letter of recommendation from them? Like I'm a junior and I'm joining mu alpha theta and a couple more clubs next year. Any advice? I just feel that it makes me resume much stronger.

Anyone?

Yes and no. Don’t put things like 2400 SAT if you have never taken the SAT or National Merit Scholar if you have yet to take the PSAT.

If you are planning on joining a club or sport that is perfectly acceptable to put. However, joining some clubs just to get them down on paper will not look especially strong to colleges.

@Mandalorian I already finalized what test scores I’m sending (ACT 33) but I do plan on only putting clubs on there that I have not yet joined.

No. Resumes are about what you’ve done, not what you plan to do. If you’ve got plans, write about them in an essay.

@qialah It’s not plans for the far future… Its what clubs I’m going to join my senior year. Calm down
