Hi I'm a sophomore in college applying to summer internships/work. I'm a fresh. transfer so I have a question. Do I mention my previous college on the resume? My GPA was higher during my fresh. year (at my first school) than during this past semester. Or do I just put the GPA I got this semester at my current school without mentioning the first school? Thanks for any input.

From what I have seen and been told, I would put your previous college on the resume or you can combine the averages (GPA).

Someone else on here may be able to elaborate more on this.

I've transfered twice, I put my most recent school's GPA (After 1 semester has been finished).

bearing in mind that the point of a resume is to sell yourself the best way possible and get yourself an interview...I will say it will be in your best interest to put what portrays you in the best light... there are two things you could possibly do...

I. You could put your g.p.a for school I and your g.p.a for school II on your resume by mentioning both schools...
OR
II. You could compute your total cumulative g.p.a from both schools and mention both schools without mentioning your individual g.p.as from both schools if your school's career center approves of this or by mentioning your individual g.p.a's from both schools before combining them as cumulative...(it all depends on your school's policy for transfers...)

Good luck with your search!
