Most companies with an internship position ask for a resume...but honestly...what can a freshman in college put on your resume?
I might get an officer position in a club (ASME)..and I'll have a pretty good GPA, but other than that what type of things can I put?
As a freshman, there aren't many things I can get involved in. Some kids play intramural sports or even division I sports, but I don't know anyone who has time to volunteer. Also, freshman haven't had the chance to work on research yet.
Thanks

List previous jobs you have had even if they aren't in the field. As a freshman, it is usually much tougher to find an internship.

Oh ok. Well I'm hoping to get a summer internship after I've completed my freshman year.

Keep trying. Maybe something will come up.

Keep looking. I'm also a freshman and I hit the same wall...most internships down open until the end of soph year (in my case that's summer 2007)...

I got an internship the summer after my freshman year

Should U Put Ur High School Info On Ur Resume For An Internship Before Junior Year???

When I was looking for a job after my freshman year of college, I put down my high school info (since it was a local well respected school), and my previous volunteer and internship works from when I was in high school.

should I, a freshman looking for an internship or research job over this summer, also put down high school club/extra curricular stuffs (such as a president of Math club, arts awards and so on)??

I think the resume should include your class rank and any AP classes that are related to the internship.

What about jobs directed at college students -- what does a first year or a second year put?
