Resume

So how many of you sent in a resume also?

I didn't send my academic resume for EA. Under the activities section, they specifically limited me to that chart and didn't say anything about "Please feel free to attach additional pages if necessary" so I didn't.

Maybe sending in the academic resumes may help admission. Did they specifically as for it thesandman? (I'm no longer apt to make statements regarding Georgetown admissions after the application due date fiasco).

Hey forget it nearly everyone on CC has said stupid things, including me. :)

The reason I want to put a resume is because I don't see anywhere else to put academic awards or volunteer stuff. I guess I want to squeeze in AP scores also.

go for it, thesandman. i attached a resume (and was admitted ea) because i felt that the app included space for... almost nothing. just don't make it long and unwieldy; mine was 2 pages.

Yeah, that's what I'm aiming for.

Yeah I think I'm gonna attach something just for awards and what not. I have a few I'm fairly proud of.

If people submitted ac res and were admitted under EA, then it is more than likely acceptable, I think. Go for it...it will boost your application undoubtedly.

I didn't send one in. I put some awards in the talent section, but now come to think of it, I never mentioned I was national merit semifinalist...

National merit isn't a big deal because it's directly related to the SAT score you're sending.

Well it's more related to PSAT score but I get your point. Although, I thought they'd like to report those things, like how many finalists they had, etc.

yeah i sent in a resume with all my awards and some more detailed extra curriculars, i think they didnt leave enough room and i wanted them to get a complete picture of what i spent my time doing these past 4 years, lol, so i think its fine

I sent in a resume (admitted EA). I think it's a good idea.

i didn't, but it can't hurt.

I didn't submit a resume EA and was accepted.

But more than your fair share of kids who did send in a resume were also accepted.

When a GU rep came to talk at my school, someone asked him about the constricting aspects of the application. He said it's designed that way for a reason - for the Admissions Committee to be able to quickly go through applications. Does this limit your self-expression on the app? Probably, but I'm quoting an Admissions officer.

I sent one in, since there was no section for awards.
