should I attach a resume or not under additional information? applying to 4 ivies, stanford.

Not required. But if you wish you can add one. But i dont know how the college will see it.

You don’t have to but it’s a nice idea. I attached a pdf with the ECs and awards that didn’t fit the Common App. I looks like a resume on first glance but it’s not a resume exactly.

for stanford’s supplement, it says:

Supplementary Credentials: We strongly discourage the submission of any additional supplementary credentials. Exceptions include arts submissions (see above) and one optional letter of recommendation. Any supplementary credentials submitted must be accompanied by your Common Application ID number. We direct all of our applicants to explicitly refrain from submitting any photos, certificates, news clippings, magazine articles, photocopies of awards, etc. Credentials should never be submitted in binders or folders as such materials will be destroyed before ever reaching an admission officer.

Does “Supplementary Credentials” include resumes?

i emailed hte admissions office, they’re closed.

bump bumnp bump.

yes supplementary credentials means a resume

If the resume conveys significant information that isn’t given elsewhere in your application, it’s worth including. If not, don’t bother. Yes, Stanford is pickier, although I’m not sure they’d respond negatively to a resume included electronically. You can attach it for the Ivies and not for Stanford; see question #18 here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/1061624174-post31.html
