Resume

I want to attach a resume to my applications, but I don’t particularly like the chart idea. What other formats are out there? A list, maybe?

Awesome. Thanks. I heart this forum.

what does the "chart idea" look like??

The "chart idea" is an enlarged version of the activity-list that is on the application form. The headings are activity, years, hours/week, weeks/year, and positions of responsibilty. How to do this well is in "Acing the College Application" by Michelle Hernandez.

o ok and is there a certain format colleges like to see more then others??

I heard that a resume should not go over one page. Is this true?

In business, a resume should not go over one page until you have over five years of work experience. On the app, you don't need to explain what some of the EC's were because they are obvious (i.e. cheerleading), but you have to explain others quite a bit. It is probably better in most cases to use an activity-chart that mirrors the format of the application form. See "Acing the College Application" mentioned above.
