Retake 2180???

I'm signed up for the June test but I'm not sure if I should retake my SATI again after getting my SATII scores.

Here's the rundown

SATI (First time)- 730R, 740M, 710W = 2180
ACT-35
SATII- 2380

Should I take the SATI again to raise my score up??? Would it hurt to take it just once more to see if I could bring it up, or will it look bad?
By the way, Harvard is my top choice

Definitely, With a 2180 you won't even have a chance at Harvard. You have to get at least a 2300. I am in a similar position as I got 2150 and will take it again in June for a 2300 since my dream school is Stanford.

Good Luck!

dude I am so jealous of your ACT score.. you have a 35.. That score is pretty much 1580 on the SAT M/V scale. You don't need SATI scores.. with a 35. Colleges will accept ACT scores as long as you took the writing portion with the standard math/science/english/etc

Well you already have a 35 on the ACT(feels like im missing something here) so unless you wind up with a perfect SAT score I don't see how it will improve your chances. Oh, and Pink Floyd is a great band.

Quicksandslowly, you have no idea what you're talking about! The AVERAGE score for the Ivies is around 2250, which means plenty of people got below that score too! The difference between a 2180 and a 2300 is actually pretty minimal once you get that high.

I say take your great SAT score and your awesome ACT score and do something more productive than test prep. A 2180 and good SATs gives you a much better chance at the Ivies than a 2300 with really a really boring, mundane resume.

Keep the 2180, and go make yourself incredibly interesting.

bumpppppppppp

Since you've signed up, take the test anyway.
It doesn't matter what you score, you have a friggin 35 on the ACT.

Better go and help those kids in Africa now.

I Hate When People Get A 2000+ And Complain. You Should Be Happy With A 2000+. The Op Is Not Complaining, But I Still See Others Acting As If A 2000+ Is Not Good Enough For Ivy Leagues.

Thanks everyone.

I know a 2180 is good enough, I'm just wondering if it is worth it to try the SAT just one more time. Would it actually hurt my app if i take it one more time?

^ This is your 2nd time isn't it?

Wait, what does this mean: "SATII- 2380"...??

^ I Agree. Do You Like Writing With Every First Letter Capitalized EmekChris?

I tried to write in all caps, but I gues it did not work.

UNLESS YOU ADD IN SOME LOWER CASE LETTERS like this

Nope It Never Works Typing In All Caps Reverts To Every First Letter Capitalized

Lol nerds.
Why does it matter?

Whatifyouretypingareallylongacronym?

if you feel you can do better than why not? getting over that 2200 bump could end up helping a lot.

goodfornothing: I doubt it, I mean, what's the difference between a 2180 and a 2210? It's just one or two dumb mistakes.

Here's my general advice for whether to retake or not: If you think that you can improve by 150 points or so, retake it. If not, you're fine.
