720 CR
770 Math
770 Writing (75 MC/10 essay)
2260 composite
Just CR + Math is under 1500... 1490
I know this is a relatively good score, and that I am in the range of the AVERAGE scores of applicants for Ivy Leagues, but would retaking it to get 2300+ be worth my time? I've read other threads about people with my exact same score. Some people say it won't matter that much, but others also say that the acceptance rate for those scoring above 2300 is significantly higher. If I retake it I'll be retaking it in October as a senior so I can study over the summer. Is it worth my time to retake the SAT?

If it’s your first try, sure, take it a second time. Otherwise, your efforts are probably better spent elsewhere.

Oh, yes this is my first try, sorry I didn’t mention that
Thanks for the response!
Any other opinions?

Honestly, I’m pretty sure you don’t need to retake. Top tier schools don’t put your scores into an equation that determines if you get in. Most top tier schools just look at your SAT score to determine if your qualified for the school and then they spend most of their time looking at EC’s and essays. Your score is in the upper half at ivies, so you should definitely spend your time studying for your classes and doing what you enjoy. Try and improve other areas of your app instead of retaking. Congrats on the great score.

One main reason to retake it is if you want to be considered for highly selective scholarships programs at some good schools, but otherwise, you don’t need to retake it.

If your CR was above 750 in that 2260, I would suggest don’t take it but I think there is room for improvement if you are considering some highly selective schools. If you can study more for CR without hurting your grades and EC and your target schools accept Super Score then definitely take it.

I retook 2240, just got my 2390. Certainly do if you feel you are capable of improving.

Yes definitely! I just got my 2230 and am planning on retaking!
