Retake a 2280 with a 680 CR?

I just gave the November Sat and scores are out.
My first attempt: CR 680 M 770 W 720 E 8
Nov SAT attempt: CR 610 M 800 W 800 E 12

My superscore is thus a 2280 with a 680 in CR.
My SAT II is perfect - 3200/3200.
My question is, for an international, is that enough for HYPSM?
People say that anything 2250+ is considered equal, but in my case a 680 in CR shows a gaping weakness, right?
On the other hand, silverturtle equates a higher SAT score to higher chances, with justifiable argument.

What do you think?
Take into account, the only time I can give it is January, and that too in the middle of my final term examinations. And I'd assume 3 SAT takes hurts you more than it helps, really.

3 SAT takes shouldn’t hurt you if you can improve your CR to 700+. If you improve your scores significantly then it won’t hurt you very much. It’s when you already have a great score (750+ in all sections) and retake it more than 3 times that it could potentially make you look like too much of a test-obsessive person.

No retake is needed and probably would not help you very much. A 2,280 is a great score and CR is by far the most difficult section of the test to improve in no matter how much studying you do. If English is not your native language a CR score of 680 is going to be seen as very impressive and hard to improve on as evidenced by your decline from 680 to 610 between your first and second attempts.

If you have done better on practice tests, then you could. Otherwise, it’s likely going to be a waste.

Harvard, Princeton, and MIT accept score choice so it wouldnt hurt. Yale however doesnt but 3 times still wouldnt effect you if you bring CR up, but its a really hard section to improve on especially if you’re not native.

I’m not native, and it IS very hard to improve. But there’s that whole competitive fire in me… “If he can do it, why can’t I?”
It’s that fire that got me an 800 in writing. And it really bums me out that my classmates who don’t really match up to me in class get 700s in CR. I sound like a whining prick, but a 2300 never hurt anybody.

I’d rather not give excuses, but my decline to a 610 is probably because on my second attempt I was focusing entirely on those 800s in Math and Writing.

And practice tests arent helping either. I’m maxing out at 700. Not good. And you dont get direct hits where I live. So I have to make do with Barron’s enormous 3500 word list and PR’s little list, which don’t really help in the real thing.
