You should start looking at community colleges. Some offer good honors programs with transfers into reputable 4 yr institutions like Bowling Green State and University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

You can take it again, but, remember, colleges see all of your scores.

On a serious note, I know a few kids in my class who were ed as all mother that they got 2380s and 2390s, missing a mere one question or something. And despite the incredible urge to retake and obtain perfection, they obstained. Because it's really not worth it. You might go down. Heaven forbid. ;).

if i ever got a 2380 my parents would literally show their disgust and disapproval. I just have to beat the nerds in my school or I'm not good enough. The OP may not be joking around

-_____-
is this a joke?
because...I think that would actually look bad to colleges (according to counselor, because they'll think ur wasting time re-taking even tho its COMPLETELY UNECESSARY...)

^ he's kinda right you know. forget about the SAT; 2380 is high enough. why waste your parent's money and your time and effort for another 20 pts. what if you get lower in your next try? How would that look on your college apps?

i read a book recently that quoted an emory admissions officer who said when they saw a student take a 1580/1600 several times, it was not impressive and made them wonder where their priorities were and how else the student might be spending his/her time. Feelings are probably the same at other schools.
