Retake a 2380?

This guys is a moron...please kill yourself. And do remember to retake, I would to see you waste your money and get a lower score hahaha. You suck balls, dumbass.

Wow, people on this board sure are immature.

How did you prepare for your sat test. what all the books you used. pls let me know.
thanks

blue book is great

Retake if you want... but think about it for a second.

Since you have a 1580, you should hopefully understand the consequences if you happen to retake & end up doing much worse.

If you get a 1600... great! Won't affect your chances in a positive nor negative way & you can get the ego boost you desire.

But if you do worse...this could actually hurt your chances.

Think about this... let's take two hypothetical applicants.

They both took the SAT's twice.

The first one got a 1500, then he retook & got a 1580.
The second one got a 1580, then he retook & got a 1500.

Even though their composite scores are identical... the college would take the first one over the second one, since they would view the first one as a bright kid who felt that he could do better if he studied a little more (and he did by a whopping 80 points!)

While the college would view a second one as a brilliant but stubborn egotist who wasted a Saturday morning taking a test with "1600" in mind, but ended up doing much worse, even though he already had a very acceptable score & they would think, "Why did this kid retake... he was 20 points away from a perfect score.".

The college would probably laugh at you even if you got another 2380.... you have to be 100% sure you can answer EVERY question on the SAT perfectly which is a feat that millions and millions of high school students can only dream about!

I hope you listen to my advice... I could be taking a risk myself this October. (by retaking a lowly 1500/2200... with a 12 on the essay which meant I bombed the Grammar section.)

But if you do choose to take the SAT's again... I hope you get the perfect score.

don't try to make us jeolous whoever 1st posted this thread.
you know what, you should retake this so idiotic SAT -obssessive morons like you can be kept busy and not contaminate the rest of the world with your stupidity.

A 790 looks ExACLTY THE SAME TO A COLLEGE AS A 800.
and you know waht, I hope you ****ing fail.

o wow, I didn't know this board sensored "dirty" words.

damn

wan ba dan!!!

Actually, I really don't think colleges could care less about whether or not your scores dropped, CoolaTroopa, unless the drop is so suspicious it suggests cheating (for example, 800 verbal to 580 verbal). If they use composites, they just get what they need and use it--they very rarely go into specifics like which tests gave the highest, as that would just be useless and really not an idication. What if I got sick after retaking a 1500 and got a 1420? Does that make me an egomaniac?

And colleges do not see 790 the same as 800. The numbers are different--it's as simple as that. However, they realize that the difference between the scores is negligable. (sp?)

No, it makes you a megalomaniac.
