<p>Hello. I am an international student applying to 5 ivy league schools, including Brown.
My SAT superscore is 2200 (680cr, 790m, 730w). I've already taken the test 3 times, and the first time my cr score was 510. it then improved to 620 and to 680. So my question is: is it reasonable to take the test again in January if I feel I might finally get over that 700 threshold? Will it make any difference? It's also a matter of money, because it's going to cost $80 dollars for the test, and then about $70 to send the score reports.
My SAT II scores are M2 790, Ph 740. GPA 3.97
Ivy League is my dream, please help.
Thanks in advance</p>
<p>Yes, but isn’t it true that I can send not all the scores (score choice)? The first one is the worst in all sections, so I definitely don’t need to send that. Plus, I thought that SAT scores were not everything in the admissions decisions… thank you for your reply though</p>
<p>Since you are an international student (and even if you were a domestic applicant), I would retake the SAT to increase your CR to 700+. MIT admissions officers state that once scores are above 700+ in categories, stop retaking. </p>
<p>Don’t get me wrong. A 680 in CR is completely respectable. If you take a look here: [What</a> Yale Looks For | Yale College Admissions](<a href=“http://admissions.yale.edu/what-yale-looks-for]What”>What Yale Looks For | Yale College Undergraduate Admissions)</p>
<p>You will see that Yale’s 25-75th percentile for CR is 700-790. You are an international student. Thus, you are already at a disadvantage. Having a below 25th percentile CR score will definitely not strengthen your candidacy.</p>
<p>Best of luck to you.</p>
