Retake a 700 if your not sure you can do better?

Hey, sorry about asking one of those annoying "should I retake" threads, but should I?

I got a 700 on my Lit test the first time around, and I know it not horrible, but it isn't great either (81 %tile).

In December I'm taking Bio and could easily add on a Lit retake. The issue is, I don't really know if my retake would be better or even worse. So, could a 700 keep me out of anywhere? If I hypothetically dropped to a 670 would it matter terribly?

For reference, my other sub test score was USH 800.

Thanks!

On the SAT notifications they tell you what percentage of retesters get higher/lower scores. Do they do that with the subject tests?

i'm in the same boat, basically... i got a 700 on lit but felt lucky to get even that. i decided not to retake because it would be very well possible that i would've done worse the second time around.

and besides, a 700 isn't really that bad... it just isn't as impressive as your 800. just play up your strengths through your other subject tests. after getting an 800 on math and a 780 on chem i decided that my 700 in lit wasn't really a weak point; it showed ability, just not to the same extent as my stronger subjects. so just try to do well on bio and i think you'll be fine.

Alright thanks! Plus, I feel that Lit. is such a subjective test compared to the others.
