Should I retake the ACT if I got a 32C (34 E, 30M, 31 R, 32S)? I want to go into engineering/computer science and I live in Texas and am not an auto-admit. I didn’t study much for this since it was my first try but should I retest?
My son was admitted to UT engineering outside the auto admit cutoff but, still top 10%.
His ACT composite was a 32 but his math subsection was a 35.
They have a formula that relies heavily on the math sub score.
You should definitely retake the test.
As stated above, retake and focus on math for UT. I bet with a month of prep you can move that score up. Good luck.
