I was wondering if I should retake my Biology - M SAT II which I took way back in my Frosh year (currently a junior). I recieved a 620 when I took the test then...and yeah, that's not very good. I'm taking three other SAT IIs (Chem, U.S., math IIc) to somewhat make up for it, but should I just retake it?

I'm retaking IIc this October (I must have made a bubbling error or something, b/c I don't understand how I could go from high 700s on diags to what I got), so should I just re-study bio-M over the summer and get a higher score?

I retook the bio test (originally got in low 700s) because I wanted a higher score (yea I'm not an anal 800 obsessed test taker...I just wanted above 750) and I only raised 10 points in October. So...you can take it but you might not raise that much..

Really? I wonder if this is a common occurance...

Anyway, I want to know what colleges might think of this low SAT II score. Would they take the testing date into account (frosh year), or will it hinder my app?

I think the big problem with taking an SAT II so far from the class is that you'll basically need to re-learn everything over the summer. That means a heck of a lot of work. Not a lot of people are really motivated enough to study an entire school year's worth of material on their own over the summer.

If you decide to do it, try talking with your Bio teacher for a good approach. He or she might even be willing to work with you a bit (for a fee or for free) and you may find a summer school type class to take that will help refresh your memory.

So, if you really think you can put in the time, there's a good chance of raising your scores. Just make sure you really do put in the effort.

If you do have decent scores on your math IIc, History and Chem, then you really don't need the Bio...
