I am taking bio 101 for the second time-the first time I'd begun badly and ended up withdrawing about 1.5 month in-and now have about a C in the class but could possibly end up getting a D. This is obviously the most basic bio class and a prerequisite for other classes I'll be taking, and I just can't seem to do well (I did very well in calc and other science classes that did not require this prereq). If I do end up getting a D...or F...not sure if I should just give up and find a completely new subject to study, or if I should take it a third time (if that is even allowed which I think it's not; I think it can only be taken twice..)

WWYD?

No offense, but if I were you; I’d consider a subject that I grasp a bit more naturally… unless you’re dead-set on bio in which case you should really take yourself/the class more seriously.

Good luck either way.

I would change my careerpath. the science classes are only gonna get harder and med school will be killer especially if basic bio is tough to pass.

I agree with the posters above. Maybe you should rethink your major. Ask yourself if you really have your heart set on this major.

If you decide to continue biology, examine why you are doing poorly in biology. Are you not studying for tests? Are your notes bad? Are you unprepared for labs? Stuff like that. I don’t know if I would take a class for a third time. I’m usually for the whole three chances stuff, but taking a class for a third time would make me re-examine my academic interests, especially since it is starting to be costly in terms of my GPA and finances.

Anyway, what happens, I say good luck as well!
