I want to go to UPenn. I don't want my SAT score to hold me back. In fact, I want the exact opposite, I want my SAT score to help make me stand out.

Should I retake the test? I took the test two times already.

First time:
M:730
CR: 600
W: 600 e:8
Total: 1930

Second Time:
M: 800
CR: 660
W: 780 e:11
Total: 2240

SHOULD I RETAKE ONE MORE TIME?

If you want to stand out (although that wouldn’t quite be so; it would certainly help you but it wouldn’t make you unique because a lot of students score in the 2300-2400 range), then of course you should take it again. 2240 is well in the range for Penn, though.

EDIT: I just looked at your math+CR composite score. You should definitely retake to raise that CR score. It is not good.

I think 660 on the critical reading would be considered on the low side for most Ivy League and 1st tier colleges. Take it one more time and do every practice critical reading section in the Blue Book. Look up any word you don’t know. Good luck!

^I wouldn’t say 1st tier colleges. For Penn, it is definitely a bit low. It is about 25% percentile. A 760 in CR is maybe 75% percentile. Get Direct Hits (both volumes) for vocabulary.

bring CR to 700 or above and you should be good to go (SAT wise that is).
