Retake for UPenn?

I want to go to UPenn. I don't want my SAT score to hold me back. In fact, I want the exact opposite, I want my SAT score to help make me stand out.

Should I retake the test? I took the test two times already.

First time:
M:730
CR: 600
W: 600 e:8
Total: 1930

Second Time:
M: 800
CR: 660
W: 780 e:11
Total: 2240

SHOULD I RETAKE ONE MORE TIME?

2240 is a pretty solid SAT score for UPenn, however, if you think you can do better, why not? With score choice, the college will never know how many times you took it.

I think your score is pretty competitive as is though, great job:)

Hmm, if you think that you have a good chance of raising your score you should retake it. Not knowing your other statistics, 2240 won’t help you stand out at UPenn, and I don’t think that the ivies accept score choice.

Yes- your CR score is low for Upenn. You could get in definitely, but it would be holding you back. If you think you will be able to significantly increase your score (at least into the low 700s) then you should definitely retake it.

Do you know at what point Upenn (and other colleges in the ivy league/equal level) stops considering a growth in the SAT score? For instance I heard that a 750 is considered equal with a 780 because you still only missed one question. Does anybody know when this point actually happens?

UPenn requires all SAT to be sent. Might as well take it again since they will see that 1930. They don’t superscore… Yale is in the same boat. All the other ivy’s though follow score choice and superscore.
