Hi, I just took my sats for the 2nd time (the new one) and i scored a 2250 which is mathematically equivalent to a 1500. By section, I scored a 760 on math, 690 on verbal, and 800 on writing. I’m thinking of retaking a third time in the fall to improve that verbal because a) its really close to the 25th percentile at most of the schools im looking at, and b) on my score report for march, almost all of the questions i got wrong were on vocab. I didn’t prep or anything for the test (should have :/). So I was wondering if:

Does penn care if you take the test three times as opposed to two?

Is it worth retaking?

Your overall score is good for Wharton. Though it isn't a norm, Penn doesn't care if you take it 3 times. In terms of whether it is worthwhile, in your case, re-taking it may not be a bad idea since your errors are concentrated on one section; if you really didn't prepare for verbal and think that you can prepare adequately, you should retake it. Also, Penn looks at the overall score and the highest score from each section, no matter which test it was from; thus, if you can raise verbal but your math and writing decrease on the fall test--Penn will still look at the 760 & 800.
