Retake GRE? Chances EE Graduate School?

So I just took the GREs and I'm thinking whether or not I should retake it.

Aiming for: EE MS at UC Berkeley / Stanford

Stats:
-UCLA Electrical Engineering undergraduate
-GPA : 3.95
-GRE Verbal: 510
-GRE Quant: 790
-GRE AW: unknown
-summer internships at Cisco Systems and Viasat
-school research experience with professor involving health care + one publication
-school research experience in High Speed Electronics Laboratory - integrated circuit layout/testing using Cadence
-officer in TBP and HKN honor societies
-involved in extracurricular project (Natcar)

I know my GRE quantitative isn't perfect and my verbal is pretty low. Should I study and retake the GRE and to try to get 800/600?

What do you guys think my current chances are for EE at Berkeley and Stanford? =T

Unless you completely bombed the AW I think it would be a complete waste of time. Most schools dont even care about Verbal for engineers as long as it is above 500, and you dont really have much room for improvement on the quant. Good GREs wont get you in to a good school, bad GREs can keep you out though.

Unless your LOR’s are bad for some reason, I would think you are fine, especially for a masters. You may want to check, however, if you are hoping for a fellowship - if they have any for masters students, they often rely heaviliy on GRE.

bumpity bump
