I took the Math lvl 2 last year as a freshman and got a 740. Should I retake? I just took a practice test to see how I would do and got a 730 on Barrons without studying. I heard that a 730 on Barrons is equivalent to a 780 on the real test. Also, I'm planning on going into the Math field later on in life.

A 730 on Barron’s is probably an 800 on the real thing. If you’re aiming for HYPSMC, lower Ivies, or other top schools, and you’re planning on going into math, you should only consider retaking it if you know you can actually get the 800. For lower-tier schools, it probably doesn’t matter that much. But if I were you, I would stick with the 740 and focus on doing something more productive; EC’s will matter a lot more than an SAT score.

I agree that a 730 on Barron’s is probably equivalent to a 800 on the real thing. I think that I only got a 710 on Barron’s, and I did get an 800 on the actual test. Since you’re in that score range, I don’t think you need to devote too much time to studying anyway. Maybe just do a few more practice tests. I think you should retake it for the 800.
