Retake or not?

<p>Okay this is not a thread where I will ask if I should retake a 2350 or something silly like that. I got a 720 CR, 680 M, and 610 W, which is 1400/2010. My writing score is dissapointingly low, and my CR dropped 10 points from last time. I'll be applying to a lot of the UC's, and my goals are Berkeley, UCLA, or San Diego, hopefully one of the first two. Is this good enough for those schools? How much do UC's look at the writing section?</p>

<p>btw, I'm not sure that if I retake, whether it would be my 3rd or 4th time. Technically it would be my 4th time in October, but the first time I took it it was the old SAT I with only the verbal and math, so I'm not sure. Could anyone clarify this for me as well?</p>

<p>1400 m/CR is a solid score. On the contrary, you might want to improve that 610 writing to a 700+ if you can.</p>

<p>Retake it if you can score over 2100. 2010 is a bit low for berkeley and LA. Good enough for SD. I'm not saying that it is impossible for berkeley and LA, but it hurts your chances.</p>
