Retake: Please help!

i just took the SAT in january and i got a 2210: 760 V 710 M and 740 W. I've been averaging around the 2200 range in my practice tests but i usually do really well in the math section. Should i retake the test? I feel that i can definitely do better in math but i don't know if i should risk dropping in the other two parts.

If you might drop the other two sections, I would advise against it.

I wouldn't bother. Your score is competitive and if your other stats are strong, you're fine.

bump......

can i get a little more advice on this? If i should retake it, i would start studying now... if not i can study for sat ii's...

If you can get a 710 in math, you can very well get an 800. You're in the range, but just a few careless mistakes and luck(you come across questions you have either no clue or know completely how to do) are holding you back. I would focus more on SAT IIs because say if you need to retake those. For example, you retake the SAT I in May, and then take the SAT IIs on the date after March, realize they're harder, and don't have as many opportunities to retake them because you already used one in May. Is the next SAT I worth $50? A 1470 is good enough, but if you're not planning on any SAT IIs on any future SAT I dates, then go ahead and retake it.
