Retake SAT? ahhh

you are just not good enough for any school with a 2290 you will only get into crappy schools like University of Idaho and CUNY...

give me a break.

HEY! CUNY and U. of Idaho aare very respectable schools.

I'm sure zogoto thinks they are...

But still, say you improve your SAT score by 50 points. How much do you think the adcoms at Harvard are going to care? I think the general sentiment is that colleges aren't looking at the Writing score as seriously as the others, but you should probably check on that with a Harvard person.

I have a friend w/ a 2290. 720m, 800r, 770w that is retaking for the math. He got 80 on the PSAT too...I would say only retake if you are confident on improving the writing to 750+.

plus you are just going to look like a score-hungry applicant like the rest of them.

your SAT score looks fine, i wouldn't retake. Do you challenge yourself by taking any AP courses. If so, how'd u do on them? Otherwise the rest of ur app looks good.

I took 4 AP tests (5 coursest though, I didn't take the english test this year), one sophomore year (Calc BC), and three junior year (USH, Phys C EM/Mech, and Chem). 5's on all.

I am pretty confident I could get Writing to 750+, and perhaps even an 800. What I'm not sure about is if I can get another 770 in CR since that is usually my weakest. An 800 in math might be jeopordized since it just takes one mistake.

No--don't retake it. All I read was your question and your scores, in all honesty. But I'm sure you could find something better to do with your Sat morning--go volunteer at a park, catch up on your work, hang out with your friends, get some sleep.

it seems your comparing yourself to the others at RSI exclusively, which really shouldn't be done.
