hi I am an international college freshman that plan to transfer to US at sophomore year. Some colleges explicitly pointed out that do not take SAT while at college, just send the HS SAT score.
However, because I am international I have never taken SAT at HS and some college have it as requirement and so I took it at this month to cover the requirement, but the problem is: I got a horrible score! horrible even for internationals(CR 520 M 750 W450). so I don't know if I should retake it or not, because taking twice SAT while at college seems really crappy even get decent score right? do you recomend to retake it or not?

ps. I am aiming some decent publics like GAtech Umich UCLA, I dont require aid.

"Lopsided" scores like that sometimes work out ok if you are planning a quantitative major. Have you checked where each individual score (M, CR) places you in comparison to the admitted profile of the schools you are aiming for?

How likely is it that you could improve the 520 in CR? I would not worry about taking twice if you feel you can get that 520 over the 600 margin.

Well, you'd have to check for each school. I'm a little out of date on this, but I believe many schools still don't quite know how to address the W score. And are giving more weight to the M and CR.
