Retake SAT in College for Transfer

As the title of the thread indicates, I am interested in retaking the SAT during my 1st semester in a relatively low ranked institution to boost my overall chances for transferring during my sophomore/junior year to Columbia University in the city of New York.

I have read multiple posts in which this practice was discouraged due to less emphasis placed on SAT scores for transferring during, let's say, sophomore year and then even less than that for the junior year in college.

Currently I have a 2120 composite score but, if I was to score 2350+, which would be a 230+ improvement, would it then be justified to retake the SAT? All I want is to increase my chances, even if it may be by the slightest bit.

Thank you.

No, just do well in college and get involved with EC’s. Its not going to hurt, but I dont see it helping much either.
