My wish is to attend a BS/MD program, hopefully Pitt or Northwestern or Boston University. I took the SAT Math II subject test in June and I got a 780. I figured it was a good enough score, but the thing is I definitely am capable of scoring an 800, so I'm heavily debating: Should I retake it in October? Basically, would an 800 look more impressive than a 780?

I wouldn’t bother at all. It honestly might seem strange that you chose to retake when you had a 780, and the risk of dropping in score is really not worth it.

Make sure you have the other SAT2s you need, probably chem and bio.

I’ll second what neoevolution said. Don’t retake it.
