Retake SAT or take SAT subject?

Hello, I am planning on applying to Stanford for early action and the due date for early action is nov. 1.

My current SAT score is 1700, and I have taken it twice already with little prep.
My ACT score is 36, and if it was up to me I would not even send my SAT. I took the ACT after my first SAT and felt that since I could pull off a good score on the ACT, the SAT should not be so challenging a second time around. I was wrong.

However Stanford wants to see all SAT scores.
I want to take the SAT subject tests in
Math level 2
US History
Physics
Since my grades for those classes are not as high as the rest of my grades, and I have been reviewing this past summer getting pretty good scores on the Barron's books.

Should I retake the SAT or take the subject tests, since I have not taken any. Will the ACT score I have be alright to compensate for my SAT?

For early action, the last test than can be used is the October test; forget retaking the SAT, though you have to send it your ACT will be used to determine admission; take the SAT IIs; Stanford does not require but recommends SAT IIs and for those it does not require all scores and allows you to choose which SAT IIs to send. Thus, if you do well on the IIs you can send them; if you do poorly, you don’t have to send them.
