I just got my sat score(2200) M-740 CR-700 W-760
Im really worried about my math score because many people are saying that cornell expects indians’ math score to be 750+ at least. Should i give it again. I was confident abt 800 in maths. Should i give it again? What if i get a 800 in sat2 math2 ? Will it make up for this low score?
If you think you can do better, go for it.
I would assume so. That’s what I did too.
Thanks! @hagzzz ! will give it again for sure. But if I give it in October, they will reach Cornell by October end. Will it harm my chances? Some people here say that the earlier you submit your app material the better. (I would be going for ED)
I’m just overly anxious…
October test dates are perfectly acceptable for ED.
Cornell is on the 1600 scale so you have a 1440/1600 (M+CR)
@Cornell19 @heisenberg88 Writing is still considered, though. It’s not disregarded, as the ‘1600 scale’, may indicate.
For engineering, arguably the college where English/writing is the least relevant, from the admissions FAQs page.
Now I’m totally convinced that I have to give it again
Yeah do it again, even though it’s painful. Although they asks for all the scores, they basically superscore. Also the curve on the math SAT is so ridiculous that you could get 1 or 2 fewer wrong and get a score in the high 700s.
I think they have changed their FAQs sometimes before it just said no writing!
Why not try ACT? You have a really good SAT score, i would suggest going for ACT as it is considered easier for indians(due to emphasis on science too).
