<p>people generally score higher on the act than the sat, from what i've seen. if you havent taken the sat you could give it a try, but you have to study for it. i retook the sat without studying and did worse.</p>
<p>If you submit your ACT's then your SAT2's won't be looked at. If you want them to be then you have to submit an SAT1. I would take the SAT1 and see how you do. You can also take the ACT again if you want to bring that up.</p>
<p>For the record, Duke takes the SAT1 and two SAT2'S OR the entire ACT with writing.</p>
<p>I believe Mike1717 is correct--if you take the ACT and the SAT I/IIs, then I think Duke will consider whichever gives you the best score (i.e. either the ACT or the SAT combos). They don't mix and match between the two types of tests.Taking the SAT I shouldn't hurt you if that is the case, as your SAT II's are decent. Just make sure you will have the SAT I with the writing component (the new SAT).</p>
