Alright, I'm applying to the SFS EA.. my SATII's look like this:

MathII: 750
US History: 710
Chem: 670

Do I need to retake them? I feel like since I'm applying to the SFS they wouldn't be upset that my Chem score isn't fabulous.

yea 750 is horrible… (sarcasm)

nooooo, should i redo the 670?
sorry, i don’t want to make it sound like i needed to retake math or history.

i don’t think it matters since your other two two tests were so good. 750 and 710 are really good. i mean, if it’s really killing you and you have time, then i guess you could redo it if you don’t have anything else to do like the ACT or SAT

I would definitely retake chem. The average on chem is 640, so 670 is not very good.

If you feel like it, retake US Hist. Average on that test is 600, and 710 is okay, but I usually shoot for 750+.

What makes you think another Chem test would be any better? Have you been studying? if you took it just around the time you took the Chem AP, you were at an optimal time. You at least have the test, unlike many other applicants. I say focus on your essay and move on. As you said, you’re not applying to their pre-med program. How were your other tests?

I have a 34 on my ACT, so I think that would buffer out a somewhat low SAT subject test. My APs back up the things I really want to study in college: I got 5’s on Euro, Calc, and Macroecon, and a 4 on US Gov.
I would have taken an SAT for a language, but they don’t offer Russian as an option… So I really can’t show them proficiency in that language with a test.
