Should I take the SAT for a third time? First time, 2190. Second time, 2300 (2330 superscored). I want to give myself a competitive edge over other applicants. Most of the colleges I am applying to require applicants to report all scores or consider the highest score in each section. Thus, my concern is that taking the SAT three times is overkill.

i don’t know
i mean if i were you i would just spend that time preparing for another SAT for other things such as improving extracurriculars or getting more hours or anything productive
but if you think you just need one more try without much preparation why not go for it

although i don’t think there is too much difference between 2300~2400

I personally think it’s a waste of time. I just took the may SAT and as long as i get a 2000+ i’m done. Don’t care what it is after that, as long as theres a 2 in front i’m good lol

If you think that you could do better why not go for it? It may be overkill, but it may also give you closure. Congrats on your score nonetheless!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I should also qualify that I am aiming for Caltech, Stanford, and MIT as my reach schools.
