My total SAT I score is: 1830, and ACT (Composite): is only 27.
Would retaking either of them be a good thing especially if I plan on transferring to schools like Gtown?

For GT it looks pretty straightforward to me, if you have fewer than 30 transferable units, you need to retake as your current scores are low.

You probably should retake them. Your scores aren’t that bad but considering some of the competition you might get while applying you should probably bring them up. But only take them again if you know that you can bring them up much higher. For instance, I took the ACT twice and got the exact same score. It’s frustrating and practically pointless when that happens. At the very least, if you’re going to bother retaking them then you should practice and study effectively so that your score doesn’t only go like 30 points higher. For your SAT, aim for 2100 or even higher and for the ACT, aim for 30 or over. Good luck though because I know it’s much easier said than done!

Georgetown is one of the few schools that requires threes subject tests for frosh admission, so GU must think that tests are important. Retake if you can.
