<p>I think that 2350 is the absolute maximum for which one should bother to retake it, and then only in special cases. You want to study physics at Stanford, and your scores are 800-750-800? Yes, it’s worthwhile to re-take the math. Also, writing is generally valued less than the other sections, I think… There’s a reason that people still compare their CR+M scores sometimes. Anyway, if your lowest score is writing, and it’s still somewhere between 720 and 750, it might make you uncomfortable not to retake but I would not.</p>
