Retake with 2210?(Please help!)

CR: 800
M: 670 (ahh!!)
W: 740 (9 essay)

I'm a junior in California with ~3.8 unw GPA. I plan on applying to the top 3 or 4 UCs and Stanford (+ safety schools of course). Math on standardized tests like this has always been a problem for me (68 PSAT, 28 ACT, 29 PLAN).

I didn't do massive amounts of prep for it (a few practice tests and some review), but I did focus on the math section.

Should I retake it in order to improve my math score or should I stay with my score and focus on the Math IIC in June and/or high school math?

If I should retake it, is there a book I can get that is just for SAT math?

Thanks guys.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, especially if you get a high score on Math IIC in June. I was in a similar situation (690 writing but with a 1570/1600) and asked many people whether it made sense for me to retake. The general consensus was that it didn't really matter, the scores were fine for any school. You're CR is excellent and your writing is very good, if you are confident you can improve math, go ahead and retake, otherwise I wouldn't bother.

I have a situation similar to yours:
CR-800
Math-640
Writing-760 (10 essay)
2200

I am certainly going to retake it, because I'm confident that between now and October I can pull up the math section a lot, and probably improve the writing section as well. I'd suggest retaking it, because there is no real reason not to-- it can only help!

I'd retake.

omg we got EXACTLY the same score! I also didn't prepare much for it hahaaa

Math-800
CR-740
Writing-670 [how sad!]

and i'm wondering if i should retake it as well, i mean im ecstatic with my math and CR, but my writing is TERRIBLE!!

Retake, VPof09, only if you think you will do better.

All right, thanks guys! I'm about 70% sure that I'll retake it, not looking forward to studying over the summer though. Oh, well.

i'd say retake. my friend retook with a 2290 and ended up with a 2390.
