<p>Obviously a little premature but judging from the tentative discussion and estimation here it looks like I did the following</p>

M (-2) ~750

<p>For my first time taking as a sophomore would you guys recommend retake and going for the max or is ~2300 going to be adequate?</p>
<p>~2300 is more than fine. If you do manage to get that score, stop and start working on other parts of your application.</p>
<p>A 2300 really should be fine. If you have improved everything you possibly can and just want to get a 2400 for the h*ll of it, go for it. But at this point, you’ve probably passed the point of diminishing results if you will.</p>
<p>It’ll be adequate, but you could try taking it some time into/after junior year. You might do better.</p>
<p>2300 is good enough for ANY college. If a college rejects you, it definitely won’t be because you didn’t do better on the SAT. Work on the other parts of your app., like GPA and extra-curriculars. You would probably only want to retake if you had the time and energy and if your academics and extra-curricular activities are AWESOME.</p>
