Retake?

Hi. I took the ACT in June and got a 32 (E-35, M-34, R-31, S-27, W-11). As you can probably see, science killed me. I took the ACT practice tests in the red book, and on all of them I had gotten a 33 on science (I did this all the week of the test). So, I'm fairly frustrated. So, do you guys think that this score is worth retaking for merely improving science? By the way, I'm applying to top schools, including a few Ivies. You can see my full profile on this page:

Thanks for any advice!! I really appreciate it.

WOW. You have a whole ton of ECs. I’m jealous (I only have like… 4 haha). Anyways, I guess you should probably take it one more time and try to raise that score to a 33/34/35, just to make yourself more competitive (even more competitive than you already are).

Thanks! And, yes, I want to be as competitive as possible. So, I guess I’ll probably take this test again…any more advice?

Science is often the killer on the ACT because the cruve has potential to be really harsh. (-1 might be a 33 on some cases). That being said, if this was your first time, give it another shot. If you got 33’s in Red Book, you definitely have the potential to get that score or even better on the next test date.

Good luck!
