Retake?

Hello, this is not a 'bragging' thread, just a question....

I just got a 740 on Math IIC, to go along with 800 in Bio and 790 on History, and a 2300 SAT I. I'm applying to harvard, princeton, and yale, and im not sure if the 740 will negatively affect my chances. Should i retake the math IIC?
Thank you.

bump ................

no. its good enough.

well, if you're not doing anything else... why not?

Depends. Do those schools take 2 SAT IIs or 3? If they only look at 2, I see no reason in retaking Math.... If they take 3, I'm pretty sure a 740 is already good enough, but you could retake.

You'll never be out of the running for an Ivy because of a 740.

If you have the chance, then do so. Keep in mind the Ivys are very competitive.

dont waste your time, your essays are 100000x more important than a few extra sat points

They don't choose one applicant over another because of 740s and the like. They separate strong applicants with essays, recommendations, and ECs. Not because someone had a 740 and the other had an 800.
