so i took math 2 and got a 670 and u.s. history and got a 680...first of all, is this score really bad for top colleges?
also, i am going to be a junior next year so i still have some time left, but i really don't want to take those same 2 again...so would it be better just to take other ones, or should i try to improve on the same 2?

what schools are you applying to??

They are not bad, but not really great. I think they are in the ball park for 2nd tier schools.

definitely not in the range for HYPS but in the range for lower ivy league schools

depending on your major, i'd retake at least math II because that's an easy subject to study for/easy to get an 800 with effort

Retake the Math II. Up to you to retake the History.

my advice: don't retake us history. take something else in place of it.
as for math 2, you should wait a year and take it because you'll have learned more material and have a better grasp of math in general.

you have plenty of time. figure out your strengths and take whatever test you feel most comfortable with. it doesn't hurt to take extra sat subject tests. (i think)
