Retake?

I got a 2200 on the SAT for my first time and a 2140 for my second.
With the ACT, I got a 33 on my first time. Should I retake both tests, or should I focus on one over the other? Do I have any chance of getting a perfect score on either? It's ok to be frank.

don't retake SAT again...3rd retake is pretty bad and not to mention your score dropped on the second one
i'd keep my 33 unless you're aiming for like the IVY leagues or other very competitive schools

if you're planning on getting into somewhere like UCLA or UCB then you don't need to retake it unless your gpa lacks a lot

I am aiming for the Ivies. How would that affect your advice?

you may not want to retake, seeing as you dropped when you retook the sat. still, the Ivies tend to ask for at least a 34.

I would just retake the ACT and aim for a 36 for the IVYs
But really, theres no point in going to an IVY
just attend somewhere with full or little tuition aid even if it is a little below
I've had top notch students at my school who has had 2400 on their SATs first try and still got rejected

Hate to rain on your cynical parade, guys, but getting accepted to HYPSM is wayyyy more than just test scores. I know people with 2400s who got rejected this year, BUT people with 2150s who got accepted! It's all about the way you present yourself.

don't worry about the 2200. focus on your essays.

yup, in any top university, your scores aren't everything simply because someone may spend all day studying and getting phenomenal scores but someone else might get below them but do ECs and volunteering, etc and they would have a better chance because they are well rounded. Just try to be well rounded.
