Ok, so I got a 2230 on my SAT I first time, didn't study or anything (maybe I should have and I wouldn't have to make this choice). 800M, 740 CR, 690 Writing (Didn't study english rules, grammar WAS my weakness). On my ACT scores I got back to day, I got a 35 Comp. 36M, 35E (I actually looked at the english rules before taking the test) 33 R (I've gotten a 35 before), and 34 Science. So, should I retake my SATs? I'm a type A personality, but a LAZY one. But, I know that I can do better on my writing score (hence the 35 on my ACT with like 1 hr of studying). But, does it really matter? I mean, I'm happy with my ACT score. But, I will be applying to extremely competitive colleges (Ivies).

yes, retake it and improve your writing score. Learn the key to getting a 12 on the essay and you’re golden. How do your subject tests look?

if you have a 35 on ACT, there’s absolutely no reason for you to retake (unless there are schools that take only SAT that you are interested in).

I plan on taking them on the May 2 date. My essay writing skills are great (11 on the essay on the ACT), it’s just my grammar that’s crappy.

Stay with the 35… If it really matters that much, then take the ACT again and aim for 36.
