Hi, I am new here, but wanted a question answered.
I took the March, 13 2009 SATs and received a score of 2080. I did well in math (790) and felt I did pretty good in CR (670) In Writing I only got a 620 however. I did not take any tests in May because of AP tests and in June I took SAT II subject tests for Math II (800) and US History (660). Should I retake on the October date? I plan on applying early action, so I don't think I can go later. I am looking at colleges such as WPI, RPI, UCONN and Boston College for a Physics/Math double major. Thanks for your comments.

It would help if you told us what your grades/class rank were because then we would have a better idea of how high your SATs need to be.

My grades aren’t too great, I have a 3.25 GPA and in the top quarter of my class.

Did you study the first time?

No, I didn’t really study the first time other than a couple hours on freerice.com to boost my vocab.

Since you didn’t study the first time, you will probably see significant improvement if you retake it with studying. I don’t know much about how competitive the particular colleges you’re looking at are, but if you think a higher score will increase your chances definitely give it a shot.
