Hey guys, I got a 2370 on my SAT, and since schools offer score choice, should I take it until I get a 2400?

No, you shouldn’t. Although some schools offer score choice, many top schools require all scores to be sent. Retaking a 2370 might be looked at negatively by colleges.

Request to punch you please.

If you take the SAT over and over until you get a perfect score, you’ll just seem like you do nothing in your life but take the SAT a bazillion times. Which obviously isn’t good. I think the 2370 is perfectly fine (the difference between that and a 2400 is one mistake) but you can take a look at this thread and decide for yourself. I wouldn’t retake unless you’re 110% sure you can get a 2400 and only retake if you really really really want to.

sr kills a lot- sorry, I sound so pretentious

Others- Harvard has score choice, and considering this, I thought it might be a good idea? I read the “addressing a few concerns” thing, but I still feel like 110% sure I can get the 2400, but in reality, i only need to get a 800 in the one subject i got a 770 in, since they superscore?

Well I personally think a 2400 in one sitting is more impressive than a 2400 superscored but it really just depends on you.

I PM’ed you regarding your decision.

Whoa! you got a PM from silverturtle. you’re popular :)

You can use score choice regardless of the college’s policy. Take it as many times as you want, because colleges won’t see that you took it a bazillion times. Since you’re probably not going to study, you won’t really waste your “life;” just 4 hours once a month on a saturday. No big deal.
