Retaking a 3 and AP Chemistry Question

Hey y'all! First time poster, long time reader here.

I'm currently a junior and last year decided to self-study AP Government. Let's just say I procrastinated a lot and didn't do any real studying except cramming a few days before the exam. I got a 3 and while it's not a bad score, it's not a great score either and only a few of my colleges will accept it. Should I retake it?

Oh, and I'm also wondering about AP Chemistry. I seem to have a good grasp on the material in my Honors Chemistry class (the class moves so slowly...) and I was wondering if trying to study the extra material on my own would be insane?

Please and thanks in advance!

Bump Hopefully someone will notice this quickly lol. Would it help to say that I’m possibly interested in pursing a degree related to government in some way, shape, or form?

If most of the colleges on your list accept a 3, then it would probably be a waste of time and money to retake an AP exam. Now, if you’re going after the Harvards and Stanfords, then I guess it would be worth the time.

For the AP Chem question: If you have the time and drive for it, I guess it’s fine. It’ll pay off next September when you’re hearing things that you already understand. It’s a good feeling.

Thanks for the advice FutureVpFinance! Only 2 colleges of mine (BU & UMCP) will accept a 3, so I might as well bite the bullet with that. For Chem, I might as well ‘lightly’ gloss over the topics now to give me a leg up when I take the class next year. Thanks again!
