Retaking a 670 in literature

hey guys
just got my October results back and I'm happy with my bio results(780) but for lit I got 670.
Do u think I should retake lit if I'm considering HYP, or is more of a psychological thing to pass 700? Or are the 30 points really significant?
and also, if I retake the nvember test as a standby, will Yale be able to get my scores on time?

Oh and on the last few practice tests I was getting 740+ each time, 650 being my random lowest

why were you taking practice tests after taking the actual test?

I would retake it if you’re sure that you’ll do better. I was going to retake a 700 (applying to HYPS type schools also), but idk if I could get a higher score. We’re at the wire here (assuming that you’re a senior), so be aware that you would need to send the december score report immediately without seeing your score first.

I consider 800-750 to be the same, and then I think the surrounding “basically the same” area usually extends to about 700. But to me, that’s already an extension and 700 and 800 aren’t actually within the same range, making 670 firmly outside of it. But I just retook a 690 (mostly for MIT, but also for schools which require 3 SAT IIs, so Harvard and Georgetown) so I’ve taken my stance on the issue.
