so this pass winter quarter i got a C- in LS3 :( and i know that even though i technically passed, i can take it over again and i plan to this summer. im already registered to take LS4 this spring quarter and i want to go on ahead and take it but one of my friends told me that he heard that if i go ahead and take LS4 then i cant retake LS3. is that true?!?? He said something about not being able to jump around in a series and moving on is showing that im satisfied w/my LS3 grade already. it sucks bc i cant even take LS3 this quarter bc its already waitlisted and it conflicts w/another class i signed up for.
if no one knows...do u know where i should go on campus for help?

I think you would be fine taking the class retroactively if you're doing it as a repeat, but where you would check for sure would be the life science office (first door on the right when you enter the life science building)

I don't think you can retake LS 3 after you've taken LS 4, because it's like retaking Math 31A after taking Math 31B -- you're supposed to have moved on with your curriculum, as signified by enrolling in Math 31B. I would also ask the Life Sciences office this question to know for sure.

oh, so would this apply to math 32a also?

For Math: You can retake this anytime. But the second time (retake), if you don't receive an 'A', and you are planning to go to grad school, "you receive negative points."

You can deduce the reason.

You should sign up for LS3 first when you're unsure about your grade.

Does anyone know if it was a class like CS31? CS32? Can we retake CS31 even though we took CS32 already? Same goes for CS33?
