Retaking a class I failed..

So I am currently failing pre-calculus with a 55%. Freshman and sophomore year I took Geometry and Algebra 2 and earned an A in both of those class, however Pre-Calculus is a struggle for me. My parents hired a tutor last semester and we had 4 sessions before I realized I couldn't deal with her- she was terribly slow and I found myself having to explain things to her rather than the other way around.

I saw my GC this week and he made me put down Pre-Calculus again for senior year (even though I earned a C first semester). I do not know if retaking a year with the same teacher would be productive. It's hard for me, but she's also not that great of a teacher. So I wanted to take it next school year (if I end up not passing) at a community college.

Will both the CC grade and failing grade I earned at school on my transcript? Or just the most recent passing grade?
If I retake it at school will both grades show up?
Should I even retake it at all? I wanted to take Intro to Stats at a CC next school year, I wasn't planning on taking Pre-Cal so should I just stick with my F?

Sorry for the long post but please help me.

Can someone please offer me some advice?

Can you retake it over the summer?

I believe they will both show up. But TALK very openly with your GC about your plans and intentions and see what your school’s policy is. There is no universal standard.

It may be valuable to take pre-calc at CC or online over the summer either way. You will likely need to take Calc in college anyway, and a good foundation will help.
I’m just guessing, but it sounds like you’re having trouble with trig; you will need a decent understanding of that for calc.

I cannot retake it over summer- my school doesn’t have summer school and the CC doesn’t offer it this summer.

Okay, I will talk with the GC on Monday.
I found an online program but idk if I can learn it well online.

Thanks for the replies
