I understand that you can only retake a class if you received a C- or below,. I was wondering if it was possible to petition to retake a class if you got a C in it. Have any of you guys had experiences with this?

a C is not worth retaking, but if you must, I would go to murphy hall or your major's advisor

I am quite certain that your success rate would be less than 50%. Most likely, the instructor will not change the C- rule. The only thing that can happen is if you beg your instructor to give you a C- instead of a C. I don't know many if any professors who will do that, at least for South Campus. If you can't do that, then sorry, you can't retake the course.

most professors view students who beg for a c- in the same bad light as a student begging for a bump in a letter grade. my friend told me that one of the old biochem professor yelled at a student for asking for a lower grade just so they could retake the class so loud that you could hear it down the hallway

lmao....it would suck to be that student...i dunno about u guys but dont you all have a limited number of repeatable classes? cuz for econ dept. you are only allowed to repeat one lower div and one upper div.

for the college as a whole, you're limited to 12 units.

if you repeat more than that, then ALL the grades (original and retakes) count for GPA.
